Omer Counter ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Omer Counter SMS service available at omercounter.com. Contact us via the form at omercounter.com.
When you sign up for the Omer Counter SMS service, we collect: your first name, phone number, email address (optional), timezone, and preferred send time. We also log whether you replied to each nightly message, your current streak count, and your longest streak count.
We use your phone number solely to send you nightly Omer counting reminders and to respond to your Y replies with spiritual content. We use your email address, if provided, only to send occasional updates about Omer Counter. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
By providing your phone number and signing up, you consent to receive recurring automated SMS messages from Omer Counter. Message frequency varies — typically one message per night during the 49-day Omer period (approximately April 2 – May 21, 2026). Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.
We use Twilio to send and receive SMS messages. Your phone number is transmitted to Twilio for this purpose. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy. We use Supabase to store subscriber data securely. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
We retain your subscriber data for the duration of the Omer period and for up to 90 days afterward. You may request deletion of your data at any time by replying STOP to any message or contacting us via the form at omercounter.com.
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. Your data is stored in a secured database with access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
