1. Acceptance of Terms

By signing up for the Omer Counter Omer Counter SMS service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Omer Counter provides a free SMS reminder service for counting Sefirat HaOmer — the 49-day Jewish period between Passover and Shavuot. Each night during this period, enrolled users receive one SMS message containing the Omer day count, transliteration, and a link to the blessing. Users who reply Y receive a spiritual intention for that day.

3. SMS Consent and Opt-Out

By providing your phone number, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated SMS messages from Omer Counter. Approximately one message per night during the Omer period. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan. To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages will be sent. To opt back in, reply START or sign up again at omercounter.com.

4. No Religious Authority

Omer Counter is a technology service and does not constitute rabbinical guidance. The spiritual content provided is for inspirational purposes only. For halachic questions regarding the counting of the Omer, please consult your rabbi or a qualified halachic authority.

5. Sponsorship

Day sponsorships are voluntary contributions of $180 per day. Sponsors agree that their dedication message will be included in that day's SMS to all participants at Omer Counter' discretion. Sponsorships are non-refundable. Omer Counter reserves the right to decline any sponsorship message that is inappropriate or inconsistent with the spirit of the service.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted delivery of SMS messages. Carrier delays, technical issues, or network outages may affect message delivery. Omer Counter is not responsible for missed Omer counts due to undelivered messages.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Omer Counter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use this service.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
